Booking Conditions
It is never the most exciting part of any holiday we know but please ensure you read and fully understand these booking terms and conditions. If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.
Bookings are subject to the following terms and conditions.
The Guest
Customers who have made a booking with Gone Coastal via our website, over the telephone or via email.
The Property Owner
Gone Costal Ltd. are the legal owners of the property being booked. The contractual relationship is directly between the property owner and the guest.
The Contract
The contract entered into is between the owner and the guest and it will come into existence when payment is received and a booking confirmation is issued showing the confirmed holiday dates.
Liability
Gone Coastal cannot accept any responsibility for any sickness, injury, loss, damage or any malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the property or grounds. No responsibility is accepted for the personal property, cars/contents belonging to the guest, including pets, during their occupancy.
Photography and Property Description
Gone Coastal has made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the property description and photography. All information has been compiled with care and diligence and we cannot accept liability for disappointment, cost of travel, inspection or other issues relating to marketing materials.
Guest Details
The contract binds you and all the members of your party. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure that all members of the party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking.
Booking Eligibility
Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under eighteen years of age and the owners have the right to refuse a booking without giving a reason. The maximum number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed six persons and only those listed on the booking form can occupy the property. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition. The client may in no circumstance re-let or sublet the property, even free of charge.
Reservation
A non-refundable 25% deposit of the holiday cost is payable at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than six weeks before the commencement of your holiday. Bookings made less than six weeks before your arrival must be paid for in full. If the balance is not received by the due date, then your holiday will treated as a cancellation and the client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent.
Damage Deposit
In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you, your pets or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. A security deposit of £250 will be pre-authorised on the payment card used for booking 1 day after arrival and will be released within 7-10 days of the end of your holiday, less the cost of any damages/breakages.
It is also a requirement of the conditions of booking that the property is left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the letting period.
Method of Payment
Payment can be made via the Gone Coastal website booking system.
Travel Insurance
We strongly advise that you take out independent comprehensive travel insurance to cover the full cost of your holiday in the event of a cancellation. If you chose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss you may incur due to your cancellation.
Booking alterations by the owner/Force Majeure Event*.
*Force Majeure Event: means (i) any event or circumstance not within a party’s reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster; epidemic or pandemic (if so categorized by a national or international health organisation), terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom, any law or any legally enforceable action taken by a government or public authority, which affects (directly or indirectly) the ability of the relevant party to perform a contractual obligation, collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident, or any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts and (ii) any binding legislation or law passed by the UK government or a UK public authority as a consequence of any of the events listed in (i).
Gone Coastal will not cancel your booking except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be notified in writing. If you cancel your holiday more than six weeks before it is due to start, then your deposit will be not be refunded. If you cancel less than six weeks before the holiday, the full balance remains due and is not refundable.
Cleaning, Bed Linen and Towels
Bed linen, towels and tea towels are included in the rental price of the property. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels as these are not included. Please do not take bath towels to the beach, thank you. Guests are also asked to take particular care when using products that may stain such as make-up and fake tan. Charges for replacement of missing, damaged, soiled linen and towels will be deducted from the guest’s damage deposit.
Occupancy
Tenancies commence at 5pm and guests are required to vacate the rental by 9am on the day of departure. This allows the accommodation to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests. Whenever possible if the property is available earlier than 5pm we will contact you by telephone on the day.
Parking
Please park your vehicles in the designated parking spaces. 2 spaces are located directly in front of the property. Gone Coastal is not responsible for the cars or contents belonging to the guest or any member of the party during their occupancy.
Services
Electricity, gas and water are included with the price of the booking. No compensation will be given for any temporary outages of electricity, gas, water, internet connection or television service. Any pay per view items downloaded from television platforms i.e. Sky, are at the liability of the guest.
Internet
The guest agrees to comply with current legislation relating to the use of electronic data in using the internet provided by the owner. The owners cannot accept liability for loss or damage to the guest’s data or accept responsibility or liability for the guest’s inappropriate or illegal use of the internet. Please note during busier months, broadband services can be disrupted with the huge increase in people trying to access the internet. This is beyond our control and is an infrastructure overloading problem as the local network simply cannot cope. WIFI is provided for pleasure not for business purposes.
Pets
In order that we will continue to welcome dogs into our property it is of upmost importance that you undertake the following:
- Only two well behaved dogs are allowed at one time.
- Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times whilst on the property.
- Please do not under any circumstances let pets onto the furniture, especially sofas and beds.
- Dogs must not be left in the property unattended.
- The guest must provide a bed for the pet to sleep in.
- Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets at all times and no mess must be left in the garden upon vacating.
- All flea and worming treatments must be kept up to date.
- There is a charge of £25 per dog per week and is payable at the time of booking.
Smoking and Vaping
Our property has a strictly non-smoking and non-vaping policy. Smoking or vaping anywhere inside the property will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. Smoking and vaping is only allowed outside the property, away from open windows and doors. All cigarette, cigar butts or ashes must be cleaned away. This must be strictly adhered to and any damage or extra cleaning caused due to smoking will be deducted from the guest’s damage deposit.
Damage, Loss and Nuisance
The guest agrees that the safety and supervision of children, babies and dogs is the responsibility of the guest at all times. The Guest will be responsible for leaving the property in good order and a clean condition and any damage or breakages must be reported prior to checkout. The guest must pay for any damage or loss caused, excluding reasonable wear and tear incurred during occupation. The guest agrees not to cause a nuisance or annoyance to occupants of nearby properties. No parties or events are to be held at the accommodation. The guest agrees to allow the owners or their representatives the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
If in the opinion of the owner any guest is not suitable to continue their occupation of the property due to unreasonable behaviour, damage, impairing the enjoyment, comfort or health of others they have the right to terminate a holiday without compensation and the owner may repossess the property immediately.
Complaints
In the event of a problem or complaint the guest may have concerning their holiday they must report it immediately so that we can endeavour to put matters right. Any complaints not reported to Gone Coastal at the time and only reported after the guest has returned home will not be considered by the owner. Gone Coastal reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
